Oil is more expensive in UK and the rest of Europe than USA. which means you pay more and have less in your wallet after a fill up. Which means you have less money to spend on other things.
Western Europeans pay around 1.20 - 1.40 Euro for a liter of super grade gas, while Americans pay just 0.60 Cents (where I live) for a liter of super grade gas, Ba ha ha.
