excellent Les , in my 25 plus years experience in body work , i couldnt explain it better than you ,.. i personally use that tool at the shop , great for pulling dog legs and rockers out with an attatchment that allen keys to the “rivets” great work Les !!

80 grit will work.. Work one section at a time and what ever you do don’t touch the bare metal with your hand.. or it will rust..

never use cardboard it weakens the filler and it even says so on the can use plastic or glass instead

The entire area sand with 180 on block feather again with 180 on the paint with.
